hi pete, welcome back! the unusual chords i play thru the verses are a progression i came up with at least 25 years ago, but until now, never had a lyric to go with it. probably because i was locked into too much standard 1-4-5 progressions due to my folk music back ground. lately i have been trying to learn a few new things and take a couple music lessons when time and fortune permit. would love to know even a fraction of that mark, the instructor knows. be well friend, chuck.

hi dave, thanks for taking the time to listen. it's funny though how life changes some of us thru the years. don't get me wrong, i very much like my career as a roofing contractor, but it absolutely leaves me no free time (except winter of course) for just pleasure driving on winding roads. now....if i could afford an mg with chrome ladder racks and a 32 feet ladder, that might be the ticket. be well, and hello to your own fine son, chuck.

Hi Chuck - Great song, one of your best. Words and music work together seamlessly. I'm especially fond of the metaphysical aspects of the lyrics, which flow easily through a story that most can identify with. Bravo.

hi there bobby, real nice to hear from you. i appreciate and value your opinion, especially as you are one of my own favorite writers, right up there with the likes of paul simon, and byron walker and such. hope to see you monday but might not happen if roads are bad. be well and happy, chuck.
