This clip is from a 50s musical.

Betty Hutton's most notable film role was the part of Annie Oakley in the 1950 musical of "Annie Get Your Gun." One of her best known songs (Blow a Fuse, later renamed It's Oh So Quiet ) was covered by Icelandic artist, Bjork.

  • Thanks a million for posting this dance by two great artists. Betty Hutton is nothing less than marvelous . Watching this video always makes me happy. Such a contageous, joyful energy! So funny!

  • It sucks, Betty Hutton said she wasn't a great dancer or singer (tho she was) but wanted to act - but they always stuck her in westerns! She wasn't always this campy but she didn't mind making a fool of herself. They lacked imagination so she alwasy ended up a hick, cow poke or tom boy. If you're a woman and not glam people don't know what to do with you.

  • When you went to see a film musical in those days you certainly got your money's worth. The stories weren't always up to much, but the talent and hard work you saw on screen was incredible.

  • So you think you can dance? I guess......The Aggie Dance in Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. Reminds me of that.

  • @mvv8383 Yes, Betty and Fred got along fine.

  • Did Betty Hutton and Fred Astare get along when they filmed this movie?? During a TV interview Betty Hutton said that no one liked her during filming of Annie get Your Gun. The actors wanted Judy Garland not her for their co-star.
