my homemade electric guitar

guitar i made for fun, but used a school project as an excuse to do it. im pretty proud of it besides the flaws in the finish, but hey nothings perfect. please rate and comment. thanks!

Hey I'm going to make an electric guitar in woods class. How did you make the neck? That seems to be the hardest part. Thanks.

@MyPetKangaroo the neck is by far the hardest part to get right, if its your first one i would strongly suggest buying a bolt on neck and using that. you can buy paddle necks where you can cut out the headstock to whatever shape you want. and make sure you read up on neck scale lengths...anyway thats what i did for my first two guitars and i dont regret it at all. hope this helps

how did it sound? did you measuse the Scale Length? or did you put the brige on first just bye eye?

@ht448 it sounded amazing. the sustain was great considering the set neck, and the pickups had a nice crunch. i have no good methods of recording so far though...and yes i measured the scale length. 25.5
