I was on my way to mail a book to someone out in Oregon when I stumbled upon the movie set for "Hello 123", a remake of the 1974 movie "The Taking of Pelham 1,2,3". This version of the film -- to be released around September of 2009 -- will star Denzel Washington, John Travolta, and James Gandolfini (Tony Soprano).

For the record, it should be noted that names of movies often change. As such, the movie might ultimately be released under a different title. The bottom line is that it has to do with a train robbery.

And a correction: Toward the end of the movie I refer to a particular skyscraper as the Chrysler. That's actually the Woolworth building. I have no idea how I got that wrong but, hey. (Shot on Friday, 28 March 2008.)

Note: For more cool stuff check out my "business" profile on MySpace: www.myspace.com/new_york_city_tours. I also have a personal profile; you can navigate to it through my NYC profile.

  • Yea, first it sounds like he says "Hello 1-2-3" and then he says "Heller 1-2-3". Either way he's wrong - it's "Pelham 1-2-3" (The Taking Of,)

This is the 2rd remake of the famous '70s movie, as the Canadian version sucked, this group of A-listers will make THIS version way better.

  • Ass Munch: I am actually a Tour Guide in NYC. That is the Woolworth Building; I simply mis-spoke. As for "Hello 1,2,3", that's what one of the workers told me. Sometimes they purposely use the wrong name to not attract attention.
