@suminderthakur Artists like Kuldeep Sharma, Rathi etc have started using Keyboards and Synthesizers instead of Shehnai. I remember time when SD Kashyap used to produce beautiful music, it is all gone now.
You are asking about "Definition of Himachali folklore"... dude, I am not a Himachali, I wished I was one. Do you know the origin of Himachalis? What race they belong to? I DEFINITELY DO NOT SUPPORT WESTERN HIMACHALI MUSIC. It is studious and a BIG BACK LOCK towards Himachali Culture. Sad.

@suminderthakur I live in Bombay. All of my youth I have spent reading and inventing Mahasu Culture. I remember the time when traditional artists like Het Ram Bhardwaj and Gopal Krishan Bhardwaj used to sing, Their folk music featured a wide variety instruments like dammama, damanght, gajju, doru, dhaunsa, nagara, dholku, nagarth, tamaka, dafale, dhol, dolki and hudak. There were also wind instruments like algoja, shehnai, bishudi, karnal and rana singha etc. New artists have killed them.
