@Maloperverso Jack raped Kayla who was his wife at the time. It was violent yes and he didn't serve prison time because he plead guilty to assault. He went through alot of self-loathing for years afterwards. It's a long complicated story which led to the best ever redemption on a soap IMO. Such amazing acting by both of them, but especially Matt Ashford. The thought that must have gone into his performance... the facial expressions, how he said each word... he says so much more than what's on the scripts. You can really see the guilt, shame, fear... everything. Amazing work.

It's even in the clip. He even talks about "knowing what it's like" and he goes through agony during the whole trial. The defense for Lawrence even brings it up.

@pje268 You can drug somebody or coerce somebody (by verbal treats) and it wouldn't be violent. I meant physically violent as in the sense of "he beat the crap out of the woman" and then forced her to have sex!

@Karen73UK This whole conversation between Jack and Jennifer seems ridiculous to me. Why would a woman that got raped have a conversation with an ex-rapist!? It almost seems that this is someone’s fantasy play, like a woman came up with this story. Jennifer does act pretty well. What do you think?

I remember these scenes. I remember crying like a baby. Oddly enough the first day I watched DOOL was Kayla's rape. Watching Jack go through all the phases that he went through and seeing him become redeemed was......an amazing time.

My favorite couples from this.....Bo&Hope (duh lol), Marlena&John, Jack&Jennifer, Sami&Lucas, Steve&Kayla (oh yeah lol), and Shawn&Belle. All of this, is what I miss back in the days. I stopped watching OLTL and DOOL almost 2 1/2 years ago because story lines were getting on my nerves, its not the same now. I might come back, but it will be awhile. The only time I tuned in is when Asa and Alice died. I liked that old lady, she was the heart of The Horton family. Every soap opera has one.
