Gladly, I still have this game and I still play it today. Graphics aren't everything is totally true, enjoyment is :D

I couldn't help but agree with most of the review.. I just WISH they would make games like these again, not over the top graphics or so realistic you die in a second. -_-' Damn this game was legendary :)

The phenomenal and realistic story alone persuaded me to re-purchase this game. I just love re-living the memories of this game from 2004, and it's the only PS2 game I continue to go back to.

It astounds me how much interest people have in Mercenaries, what with near 50,000 views.
I guess when EA eventually remembers that Mercenaries is an IP of theirs, they'll get around to releasing another sequel that, again, won't be anywhere as good as this game was in terms of atmosphere, music, and just how the game handled itself.
You know what I wouldn't mind? An HD re-release. HD remastering is all the rage nowadays, and I'm picking up MGS HD Collection for sure, so how about Mercs. HD?!

@AmericanIdiot181 Oh no I'm quite sure EA can get another studio of theirs to make the transition. MGS HD Collection is being handled by a different studio that I don't even think Konami owns, so yeah, this stuff works itself out.

@LamentOfInnocence1 Eh, not really. I look at it as what Mercenaries 2 SHOULD have been. Oh, I'm sure it took some inspiration from the Mercenaries series, but to call it a rip off? Nah. It's a good game.
