Too Funny. Your cat is just as interested as everybody else.. lol Thats right it is always good to get out there and field test all of your gear to see what works and what you need and don't need. And you will get better at it every time.. I've also went tubing down ichtucknee River. fun.. too many people though.

Thx. Fairly straigh forward for both what worked and what didn't as both are usefull.

Hanks are handy, yep. Even color-coded!

D-clips are handy. vs carrabeaner...which is specifically rated to carry your weight, on a rope, suspended. So, d-clips=cheap and useful. Carrabeaner=expensive and for a reason. Never stake your life on a D-clip. Nope.Never fight a bear for a D-clip vs KILL that thieving critter for your carrabeaner. Yep.

1443r tyvek instead of the tarp, 1.25 oz per sq yd and $5.35 per running yd, 60" wide from questoutfitters. Keep the foot print a couple inches under the tent so water can seep in the ground. (I take it it did not rain)

May I recommend the Big Agnes Jackrabbit UL3 tent. It is a 3 person tent and is perfect for 2 people. It is only 4.5 pounds, including the footprint. It also has plenty of room for a couple to enjoy! Yes, it is expensive at $500 but worth it. My wife and I love it! Also get a cheap Indiglo watch. After you have your night vision it is as good as a flashlight in your tent.

i realy like that my wife and i are not the only couple out there. i like the bandana idea. i usualy just keep it in my pocket but now on i will put it on the strap. dont know why i didnt think of it. good video. i might suggest that if it looks like rain not to have the ground tarp sticking out from under the tent. this could catch water and store it between tent floor and tarp. bad news if tent floor isnt water proof. good vid thanks.

I would suggest that the ground cloth (blue tarp under the tent) should not extend beyond the foot print of the tent. If the ground cloth extends beyond the tent when it rains water will flow between the ground cloth and the tent floor and making it more likely that the floor of the tent will leak.

Wal Mart sells a cool 5x7 backpacking tarp thats kinda cool for stuff like that,i think it may be a lil lighter than a regular tarp and has its own cool lil ditty bag.Cindys gonna make a shower vid...woo hoo:)
