I've seen many a Mormon reconcile this with a great deal of mental gymnastics. But then that sort of mental agility is necessary if you are going to avoid accepting the evidence and what that means for precious yes erroneous beliefs. I guess I'm just not smart enough to keep believing in nonsense when the evidence is so clear and irrefutable.
Mormon doctrine states that there was no death before Adam (2 Nephi 2:22; Moses 6:48; 1909 First Presidency Statement). Are there any Mormons out there who can credibly reconcile this doctrine with what they learned in their high school biology class?

I'm curious...
