Katy Perry - Firework (rock guitar cover)

This song really caught my ear for some reason, and I thought i could add a little of my own style to it. I a few mistakes here and there as usual, but I dont really care. Its a cover, not a studio production.

I had problems up the ass with the video portion. I used a digital camera to record the video, and it kept on glitching up on me. It starts on time, and as the video progresses, it lost time. As the video goes on, it gets more and more off time. I tried to compensate for this by making it slightly off time in the beginning, so its not overly bad at the end. Also, I just could not get the video part with me sitting down in sync. I spent a full day on it, and this is the best I could possibly get.

Guitar used: Squier Strat (1989)
Tuning: Drop C# (Drop Db), although its irrelevant since I never hit an open note.

@MUsiCiSLiFE7100 sorry, no. i dont remember you (not by your user name anyway...). but i think its fairly easy to hear. i was significantly louder than the track in this one and there was no distorted guitar in the original track. all the guitar you hear was me.

@ThroughFallenEyes Think back to 30 Seconds to Mars - Closer to the Edge. Then maybe you'll remember me? :P And ya, I know you were the only guitar, I personally though still found it a bit hard to hear. But that' just my advice, bit louder on the guitar, or bit softer on the sound track. :)

as for this song, i was also trying to get it to sit somewhat in the mix. i didn't want it to be drowning out the song. what are you listening through though? i find you cant hear anything if you're using laptop speakers.
