@Poledancefan You haven't failed, you just haven't found your prefered method. I think there are lots? I have a short pole and low roof, so I do an inverted crucifix and slide down low, then I caterpillar up and release my legs into a forearm or elbow grip aysha, then raise my legs into straight edge (my toes brush the ceiling and walls...). I found TG straight edge the next easiest, then split grip. I can't yet go straight into one from Caterpillar or Brass.

@REDKE71 Yeah...Amber tried really hard to teach me the more correct way to get into the straightedge by inverting and then caterpillaring DOWN into it in elbow grip. But I was too FAT and too WEAK after 2 weeks of pigging out in San Francisco. I had a private with her 3 days after I got back to Chicago. I was really disappointed in myself, like I had let her down! At home, I don't have enough height to do it that way..and I don't know how to "turn" the tummy in from the Brass. MORE PRACTICE!!

@Vickiezoo Thank You!

@MilienElayne Actually...I am not sure. I don't have enough height to try it the other way...and I can't turn my tummy inward from the Brass. And I failed totally in my private lesson with Amber to do it from the Caterpillar. I need to work harder!! Thanks for watching!
im thinking of getting a pole but im undecide to which one since theres so many to choose from. i like the work you've been doing on your pole and it looks preatty sturdy and i was wondering what kind of pole do you have? and how much you get it for? and does it spin?

@serafinyado Thanks for watching. It is a homemade pole...made from electrical conduit. The tutorials are still up...way way back on my channel from 2008. But I would recommend that you buy a removable pole...either from X-poles or platinum stages. The conduit is too rough...a bit too large in diameter...and not removable. The newer removable poles are quite well manufactured and have better grip profiles. Check out Studio Veena or Polejunkies forums for discussions on poles... /Joel Lessing

Great job Joel! Looks like you'll have this move down in no time. @ 5:45 you are totally balanced! I'm learning brass monkey. Any tips on on getting the knee pit to stick? I keep slipping!

@TheDrkfaery Thank You! Hmmm, as far as getting the knee pit to stick, I think it's just a matter of developing the hamstrings. But I may have an unfair advantage because of so much bike riding....and the hardware store pole is more like 53 MM than just 50 MM...so It's a tad bit thicker.

@glitterhips Ha Ha, I NOTICED you hadn't been around on YT for awhile. Yeah, I did the GOOGLE Link, which really screwed me over because ANYWHERE I go to sign in to my News Reports...or music..or searches at work..I will get ads for "STRIPPER POLES" and "SEXY HOT HIGH HEELS FOR JOEL" Everytime I sign on to a computer now, I get pop-ups of sexy girls winking at me over their shoulder. Thanks a lot, GOOGLE...messin up my job, lol! Oh well, everybody thinks I am crazy anyway, so...what the hell!
