MODULAR PUNK - AVERY (ORIGINAL MIX)

Modular Punk is a NYC-based EDM artist. In June of 2011 he was listed as the #2 most popular non-major label artist in the world by Billboard Magazine. Modular Punk's "Avery" is maybe his most popular track to date in terms of airplay. Unlike most of Modular Punk's releases, "Avery" features a traditional house beat which makes it somewhat more palatable to mainstream electronic dance music enthusiasts. The lead and transitions are marked by the infamous "Hoover" synth, best described to lay consumers as a particular synthesizer sound in electronic music, commonly used in Hard House music and other styles. Originally called the "Mentasm" or "Dominator", the name that stuck was the one likening the sound to that of a vacuum cleaner. For long time fans, you'll notice the album art has changed from the original, somewhat provocative artwork. This version of Avery is taken from the album Fall Of Man, where it is featured as the third of eight tracks. Enjoy.
