Summary:
On the eve of the Jewish high holidays, an older couple's faith is tested as they wonder why their God has not given them a child they so desperately want. Across from town an unemployed younger man puts his wife and baby at risk as he seeks ways to provide for a better life. Will providence bring each what they want?
