NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED - (Briar International 121) Out of Nashville, this 1962 release was fortunate to have been issued on two labels for three different Christmas season's. The first was on the small Briar International label in 1962 followed by Kapp in 1967 and again in 1969. Recorded at the legendary RCA Victor Studio B, Chet Atkins was at the helm as producer with the studio full of Nashville's top session players and The Anita Kerr Singers on background vocals.
(The B&W photo shown in the video was taken at Nashville's RCA Victor Studio 'B'. The people are identified as:
BACK ROW: From left to right, DOUG KIRKHAM who was married to Millie Kirkham of the Anita Kerr Singers. CHET ATKINS, producer of the session. JOHN D. LOUDERMILK, legendary session player and songwriter. BOB M0ORE, the man who played bass on more #1 records than anyone else in the world, in any genre of music. VELMA SMITH, Nashville's first woman session guitarist.
Front row; FED VANDERPOOL, who was at this session to sing background vocals with his brother and sister. (Fed had a record deal himself with Columbia Records and he recorded under the name of Van Houston). FATE VANDERPOOL (arms crossed in the center of the photo) who played guitar on this session and also sang background vocals with brother Fed). HARVIE JUNE VAN, sister to Fed and Fate Vanderpool, she was married to RCA producer/songwriter Bob Ferguson).
I taped this song by HJ Van back in 1966, I remember the radio station saying they could not play her music,, I never found out the reason. See had a beautiful voice
