He's right, there's no need to accept that you can do nothing about crazy people wanting to kill you. Trying carrying a firearm to protect yourself, that's one thing you can do. Take responsibility for your own safety. Had someone in one of those rooms been carrying a firearm, they could easily have kept him out of that room and possibly even removed the threat.

What a moron. Is it not illegal to cross state lines to buy weapons. Can't believe this guy thinks its better to play dead and get shot multiple times. I would rather be able to possibly defend myself and/or others. I firmly believe that if conceiled carry were legal on campus there would have been far less death or possibly this would have never taken place. What part of SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED do you not understand?

And not one single thing that Mr. Goddard is advocating for would have prevented the Va Tech massacre. Cho bought his guns at an FFL gun store after filling out a 4473 and passing an instant NICS (Brady) background check.
Whether it's a bomb (Bath School massacre) or a knife (nearly every week in China) or whatever other means available-crazy people will do crazy things. The issue is the behavior not the implement!
