Kevin and Sue McCarthy take you on a tour of the Galveston Texas beach. You will see beach houses, horses, the boardwalk shops and restaurants. You will also see abeach comber and his well trained dog.
I was curious if you could please help me out (I'm trying to plan a suprise for my fiance).
How much does it cost to rent a horse on Galveston? Also; do you remember by chance the name or area you rented yours? I'm trying to find less of the really restricted rental policies when you are an advanced rider.
Suprised ya'll didn't take the ferry over to Port Bolivar were you can take pictures of the historic Bolivar Lighthouse from the road. Walk on Crystal Beach.
I've always loved Galveston, of course the more times you come the more you find, what is shown in this video barely scratches the surface of the island's attractions, though for someone's first time to Galveston these are attractions you would at first glance. There are many other things on the island from the strand, to the Victorian architecture, shlitterbahn, & much more. Of course the only reason I know that is the fact that I go there once a year, since I live nearby in Beach City.
I'm from England but was lucky enough to live in Texas for 7 years in Clear Lake City 20 miles inland from Galveston. For a working class London kid it was an amazing time! Thanks for the video, brought a lot of memories back. I told a friend I was taking my girlfriend down to Galveston for a romantic dinner and he said - 'take a date to Galveston and you're telling her you want to get serious!'! I replied 'how do you know I don't want it to get serious?!' He said that made me officially Texan!
thank you ,, I do try to tell my friends from Arkansas that all they need to do is go to Galveston and if they do ... they will go back.... it is so laid back there.... i been to other beaches but this town will welcome you like no other city can...
