I wish he would release a "B-sides" album with Humming Bird, Lifelines, Covered in the Rain, In Your Atmosphere, Sucker, This Will All Make Perfect Sense Someday, Why Did You Mess With Forever?, and his version of Kid A. - I would buy that in an instant.
Those songs are why I play guitar the way I do today. Thank you Jon. =)

" ...tonight were gonna order in, drinkin wine and watchin' CNN". Johns got this weird realtable X factor about him that makes you feel his music as if you were there while he went thru this. it was a dark time for everybody and we can all relate. and then to pull it out for the soaked crowd a was nice way of makin everyone feel it too. john 's brilliant on so may levels!

Well, you can find Covered in the Rain on Any Given Thursday (best version IMO), and In Your Atmosphere on Where the Light Is (Also, my fav. live version - that jam afterwards is a perfect fit) - but as for a b-sides record having been released - I'm not aware of one.
I've got a mix CD of "old" Mayer songs (from 7 years ago) - stuff bootlegged from those now classic Eddie's Attic shows, and others. They were rough recordings, but the songs were great. I still have them if you wanna hear em
