Actually, it turns out that Liquid flat out died on Shadow Moses. Though Ocelot did have Liquid's arm attached to him he was simply brainwashed to think that he was Liquid.

Eve was tempted by the Snake with the forbidden knowledge. Both Adam and Eve were cast out by God, and the Snake was cursed.
Caine (the older brother) killed Abel out of jealousy. Liquid tried to kill Solid out of an inferiority complex (aka, jealousy), but Solid killed Liquid.
Eve didn't cast anyone out, to my knowledge. To learn more, open up the Bible and read up on that particular part. It might foreshadow the game's plot.
There seems to be a strong religious element to the game...

wonder if scene when snake kill himself will be in final game ? i think that it's only symbolical scene, how the hell snake can know things like MEME ?! (check wikipedia what is MEME) it's only symbolical scene, Kojima want to tell us that snake will die... if not in battlefield then... naturally die because of old age...

Yes i have completed MGS 1,2 and 3 on expert mode with all dog tags costumes infinite ammo etc... but it has been such a long time i accidentially sat and broke MGS 1 I dont even know what happen to 2 and my bro let his friend borrow 3 then he went off to war and his freind lost or sold it whatever. Ocelot took Liquid's arm after Shadow Moses and now Liquid takes over Ocelot from time to time. Though at the end of MGS2 it looks like Liquid gained full control of Ocelot. Im not sure if its still that way in MGS4. Personally i think its kind of a silly idea living on through an arm.
