Ice Hockey Goalie

(About the video and my passion for playing Hockey):
After about a year layoff, I got myself back on the ice recently and stepped back in net.

I've been playing for about 25 years, started playing Hockey when I was eight. Always wanted to play in net after watching my first Hockey game in 1984 when I saw Jacques Cloutier lead the Rochester Americans (of the AHL) onto the ice. Ron Hextall was in net at the other end for the Hershey Bears.

I went home that night and made goalie pads out of a cardboard box and taped them to my legs. I made a blocker out of a shoe box lid and put on my baseball glove for a catch glove. Then had my dad shoot tennis balls at me with his 2 iron. The next year I signed up for Pee-Wee Hockey as a forward as my dad wanted me to learn the game and learn how to skate first. The next year I moved to defence, then into the net the following spring. Posted my first shut-out in my first game in net 1-0 that spring and never looked back.
