Notre Dame has taken a strong role in building democracy across the globe, particularly in Latin America, where the University, through it's Kellogg Institute for International Studies, has educated and advised leaders in countries such as Chile, which endured a nearly 20-year military dictatorship and now is one of the region's most stable and prosperous nations.
My father went to Notre Dame and I kinda like Augusto Pinochet.
