  • Shortee.... You're missing the point of the exercise. Its aimed at kids. Its all about visual association and trying to get kids interested in science and space in general.

When I showed this clip to my son, he had a bunch of questions afterwards and it got him thinking. I think this is what the guys n gals in nasa/pixar/disney were trying to achieve. You can be sure as hell that if it was about promoting that new Walle movie, they'd have had that dumb toy there instead.

  • Buzz Lightyear is still quintessentially amazing

  • Buzz lightyear fits perfectly in space! Because he is an astronaut!

  • @caa1000 I know this is two years old, but...

Whatever gets kids interested in being astronauts (especially if they might not have considered it before).

  • @shortee4204real "We have books full of philosophers that tell us what the planets look like and what they are composed of"

Did you know we'd never seen the other side of the moon before we went to space? That if we actually found another planet we could live on, the space programs would be a godsend if the planet went into a state of dire emergency?

Would you REALLY rather die? If so, you must've already went through the five stages of grief. Good luck with that, dude.

  • To Infinity .... and Beyond !!

  • @Steven2love LOL

  • lol ^^

  • I think this really inspires little children who dreams of flying into the stars and cosmos of space. Buzz Lightyear has been my inspiration since Toy Story first came out and it makes me think that if Toys do come alive, that Buzz Lightyear is a lucky one, who actually lives up to his name, as an astronaut. When children see this, who are big fans of John Lasateer's iconic character it makes them want to dream. and now they can dream big by watching their iconic figure go "To infinity & beyond"

  • Next time, he should make buzz talk with the buttons! :D

  • Now that's a great movie: no special effects and Buzz is still flying! lol It costs 10000$ to launch 1 kg into space. That Buzz is worth lots of money now!!! lol

  • Hey, I was one of those 5 year olds, and, if I could, I would TOTALLY be a part of NASA, I just don't have the math knowledge though ='(
