The documentary Almost Broken was inspired by mystatefundstory .com website. The website was created after there was evidence that California's Workers Compensation system was allowing State Compensation Insurance Fund, to " close the file on an accepted industrial injury " to save the carrier money. The WCAB has shown State Fund that using fraudulent documents will simply be rubber stamped and the injury claim is closed leaving the injured workers and their families to be forced into poverty and suffer from State endorsed insurance fraud. To make matters worse State Fund uses the UnitedStates mail repeatedly to both send the knowingly fraudulent documents to the WCAB,and also to send a letter to a state senator to cover up their unlawful claims handling,To this day they have not been held accountable, thereby putting countless injured workers at risk of suffering at the hands of state endorsed insurance fraud.

Larry, you ahve been fighting against SCIF for far too long. They ahve already been caught at some malfeaseance and should just give you the compensation they owe you since 1992.
But like the rest of us who suffer total injuries, the insurance companies/employers rather pay thugs to deny us what we should have had a long time ago.
It is against our civil rights and we need the President and the Federal DOJ to intervene on our behalf.

This is absolutely ridiculuous that anyone injured on the job; are not given their constitutional rights to compensation, AS IS MANDATED BY FEDERAL AND STATE LAWS.
The insurance companies have to be held accountable for NOT assuming their responsibility for payment/s for prior, present and future medical costs of an injured worker.
These insurance companies are ringing with wealth and the injured worker loses everything!
