Wow, you are so lucky to have that! Even if you didn't play with it as a child, those are GREAT toys for babies and toddlers.
As you said, the sound is hypnotic and soothing and trippy - all at the same time. Babies LOVE that. And the fact that it is sort of a Weeble Wobble thing. Meaning, you push it and it tips, but doesn't really fall. It wobbles around. It helps babies to understand cause and effect and gravity and lots of other things, PLUS it just makes you happy!

I have one and Im visiting my godparents and I also have three kids. My kids are now playing with my old toys which makes me smile knowing how much fun they are having... Oh and my baby loves the music it makes!

i have the happy apple. it was passed down from my sister to my brother to me. and i like the happy apple. hopefully i will get to pass it down to my children. please keep it. it is a cute toy. and i guess the only reason why is because it would bring a smile for everyone who plays with it. it is a heart-warming toy.
