Wow, a sea of Bell Moto III's! Dan Smith shown in this video with bandages standing next to a demolished Husky. Brent Wallingsford clocked by the camera plane on a road at 110 MPH. If you are under 50 please do not mock the antiquated machinery that we suffered with. I must have got a thousand blisters from those crummy forks, and 50 front flat tires...

  • Anyone who mocks these "antiquated" machines is a spoiled little punk who's had their tushies pampered by modern technology.

  • Thanks for posting the video...this really brings back great memories, i was around ten years old watching my dad run his 1976 YZ 400 monoshock. He worked for Bell helmets at the time and belonged to the Yucca Duckers motorcycle club.

  • my dad finished 8th overall in the 1974 barstow to vegas on a bultaco 360 pursang

  • blast from the past!!!

  • @vmchunks I'm over 50 also and my 1974 SC500 two stroke was a real man's dirt bike on steroids as well, I loved that YELLOW THING!

  • this video is shorts clips from the movie

"The Desert Racers" by Norm Johnson

period correct music, but was not on the original movie

block buster used to carry it at one time

  • @vmchunks I know exactly what your feeling. I'm 55 and recall when yamaha came out with the 250 and 360 enduros. then yamaha took off the lights, raised fenders, expansion chamber, and there - now you have an MX!! known for high center of gravity and pipey motors. Pretty bikes though. Your may have been black with red pnstripe. I use to sit on those pikes and dream on. these films are great. There was also a time when they were cutting the down tubes, adding 2 inches to lower the CG.
