If U want a lower priced 128i just wait a year. High gas prices and poor sales are forcing BMW to revisit a 4 cylinder engine for 1 and 3 series.

The 135i starts at around $35,000 with no options. By the time you add a few options that most of us would want, the price easily jumps to $40,000 and higher. I saw one at a California dealership that listed for almost $45,000. You can get a 128i for less than 30,000 with NO OPTIONS and less performance.

BMW's MSRPs are always ridiculously conservative. Once you add on basic packages the price rockets up.
