hey man is it true that the ghost cam tune can only be used on the new dohc 5.0s? I heard its not possible with the 4.6 sohc

Yes. It's because of the twin independent variable cam timing. Essentially, the cams are timed independent of each other, therefore creating overlap.

In the 4.6L, there is no such ability.

Yeah, still have the stock overaxle pipes with resonators. One day I'll get a set of aftermarket overaxle pipes, but for now it sounds great! The Boss Manifold quieted it down a little bit at partial throttle, but it still screams at WOT.

@FordSVT1313 Why would you wish that? I guess I'm one of the few that hate the idea. Fake cams? seriously? all the drawbacks of having cams with none of the benefits.. Makes no sense to me at all. Might as well get something to make a loud whistling noise under the hood too so people will laugh at your 12 second quarter mile and talk about how bad of a driver you must be.

@HelloThere604 Camshafts. When someone says "cammed" or "it has cams" they mean they added aftermarket camshafts which results in a lopey idle, its that blub blub blub sound you hear. In this case he got a tune that makes his factory camshafts create that lopey sound because of the twin independent variable cam timing. I hope I explained something of use to you. Don't feel stupid, asking questions is good.

The ghost cam tune is available again. I got mine yesterday through lethal performance. Jon Lund is the only tuner authoized to do this tune and he does it for them. If you already have an SCT Tuner it is $200.00
