Actually, i think the reason they didn't show the mascara application is because this is how to do the look, not how to apply mascara. Everyone knows you end an obvious eye look with mascara, or even if you didn't you have a reference at the end with the model with it on.

The reason they didn't show mascara is the artist prolly didn't use a NARS mascara, so it wouldn't be advertising their products.
