'08 XL1200N Harley Davidson Nightster Pipes Intsall

More video of my Nightster before and after stage 1 modification. Vance and Hines black Short Shots, Screamin' Eagle air cleaner, and Vance and Hines Fuelpak. I also have my Progressive 412 rear shocks installed in the 'after' video. It was a really windy day the day I video taped the 'after' video. That didn't help the sound, but you get some idea of the difference in tone of the Vance and Hines. I don't think you can really hear just how much louder they are. They're plenty loud though -- trust me.

@20stevieray I don’t know about the ‘loudest’, but the Short Shots are plenty loud and still have some tone to them. I know some people just can’t afford to buy custom pipes and they rip the baffles out to make it sound like a Harley, but honestly, if you can afford to avoid it – please do.  Straight pipes generally sound like shit and they are a real pain in the ass to ride behind – it’s just an ear piercing, shrill – shitty sound imho.

Im about to do the exact same thing w/ my '09 Nightster, but im going with the sideshots. how hard was the install? any tips?

@holmeydude It was a pretty easy install...be careful of the black ceramic coating. Fuelpak did it's job I guess.... I still had popping on decel and they couldn't give me any mods to the codes to fix it.

Great video...thanks for posting. I'm kinda tall, so I bought a Softail to stretch out on, but I really, really I miss my Sportster. They are the purest form of motorcycle along with Norton, BSA, and Triumph. Nice looking ride. Blacked out and mean-looking is the way to go
