  • saw them at Norwich University about 1970, with Rick Wakeman-Glimpse of Heaven and a few other songs are quite special to me.

  • I first heard the strawbs on WNEW with Pete Fornatel. Well that was one special moment. He played autumn I had my headphones on I was on cloud 9. The strawbs will always be part of a magical event in my life. I wish I could go back

  • One of the best bands ever. Still great that they still tour. Have been to see them many times.

    A national treasure

  • loved them from when i first heard them in london in 67

  • I could play the last 45 seconds for hours.. (if you get my meaning) It's superb.

  • Good though this is, this probably my LEAST favourite track from Hero and Heroine, which gives some idea what a truly incredible album that is.

  • I believe the guy in the yellow suit is Dave Lambert, as for the guitar... never seen that model before but from the headstock and pickups I 'd have to guess that it's a Vox. Whatever it is it sounds real nice.

  • Please excuse my ignorance, but does anyone know what guitar the guy in the yellow suit is playing ? that looks like a Vox head to me !

  • Check-out Lay Down, brilliant tune.

Old TOTP b&w recording on tube, some silly girls dancing but if you wait till end, there's blonde in trousers at back of stage really knows how to move it.

  • One of my all time favourite bands. Have seen them many times. The last being a couple of weeks ago.

Why they are never heard on the radio is beyond me. Keep going Mr Cousins
