@Pirate7X another thing... i'd like see Premier adjust his production with other Artists style.. o wait he cant do that cause he only has his own style.. but J Dilla could work with any artist, adjust to their style, and still sound dope...J Dilla can even make a Dj Premier type beat and it'll sound just as good if not better.. i can go on about Dillla for days man.. your're making this too easy...

@Pirate7X and briningg up other producers opinions doesnt really prove much. J Dilla's skill speaks for itself... thats why J Dilla is the producers favorite producer. pretty much only producers or people who somewhat have knowledge of production know what makes J Dilla better than 99.9% of not all of these producers... plus J Dilla influenced way more artists. Hi-tek.. Kanye west. Dr. Dre.. Nottz.. Pete Rock (yes he influenced his own influence)..Q-tip, Black Milk, Busta, Young Guru. ect ect

@Pirate7X the only reason why Dilla got more recognized after his death was cause he never put his name out like that plus he did alot of his beats under different aliases smart one. Dilla always stood in the background.. all his beats where great in there own way. Primo cant judge a beat thats outside his own style cause he doesnt make any other beat that doesnt sound raw.. plus Primo has him in his top 5.. Pete rock called JD the best producer saying that he took production to many dif levels

@MoodMuzikFilez What's funny to me about all you Dillatantes is the fact all of you bare recognized him until his death. I checked & propped as JayDee back in his SV days but when my cipher discussed his sound vs. comtemporaries (Xtra P, Pete, Primo, Tip/Tribe, etc.) it was agreed he was dope, yet not there yet. The stuff done for Tribe on Beats was aiight at best & we won't discuss Love Movement. JD was often dope but the muffeled bass got tired. Primo's rocked Gang to Xtina and beyond...

@Pirate7X and all he could do was name some beats... great point you made there.. you have no idea what range is of you saying Dj premier has great range... almost all his beats sound a like.. specially his drums.. he barely changes his drums.. thats why Emcees today arnt as crazy over his beats as they were before.. and i get that Premier has his own signature sound which is great.. but making the same style of beat does not show much skill..

phat kat rapped to this same beat, did much better with it (i think) its called "Nasty Ain't It" and is on him album Carte Blanche.

yo she is almost replicating dilla's style of flow in a few bars. I think that's magnificent.
