@krybi Well you can do it and I think I read somewhere in the manual that you can store the preset in its memory (or am I making stuff up? not sure). However I think that the better way to handle that would be to remaster it off-gig and burn it to a CD so you can just pop it into a player and you can focus on fancier stuff (i.e. effects - which are quite cool on X9, too!). Either way this mixer is just amazing and you can certainly do plenty of stuff using it

Thanks a lot for the reply mate! :) I searched hard for a mixer that can do this but was kinda surprised there are practically none. I have lots and lots of old records that are very poorly mastered/EQ'ed, and 3 band EQs aren't enough to correct them. A mixer like this could come in extremely handy when mixing those...

@krybi Just got this mixer today and the answer is yes, you can control the Q.

roducts/364/x-9_manual.pdf - look at page 28 :) This mixer is absolutely amazing! Best spent money ever! -
To all people in need of a mixer, this mixer is really a great find. Im so psyched I got it, I could not afford the Pioneer 800, so I picked up an x9 for 300, and had to order a couple of new faders, but all parts are available from Tascam. This mixer rocks, the 2 samplers are really convenient and is a great mixer all around. Thank God for technology advances going so fast, that is the only reason you can find a deal like this.

I got a replacement cross-fader from Tascam for $11. Very fair price, my ancient Vestax replacement was $45.
Hey how do you pan with this bad boy, I can't figure out how to pan form left to right on this mixer. Why didn't they add one more knob

Hey DJ Omega I just got a used X9. And Im not sure if I have a blown cross fader. When I have Assign A set to channel 1 and I try using the cross fader to to B I still hear A bleeding trough. I was hoping you can tell me if I have some wrong button pressed or do I have a blown cross fader. If I do do you know where I can get a replacement or should I return the mixer for its blown.
Since its discontinued can I still get a replacement, or do I have a wrong button pressed. Thanks Dan

Anyone know why my x9 will not work????
Keeps displaying ERR (error) when I turn it on, if anyone has any ideas I would be very grateful. PS can't find my manual either????

yeah, cheers! :)
I read somewhere that it's also possible to control the bandwidth (ie. not only the basic frequency, but how widely it will affect around that frequency) for the EQs, but it looks like it's not? :/

@krybi Yes, you can do that with this mixer. It is called parametric EQ's. Each EQ knob on this mixer has 2 parts: one to control the specific frequency while the other cuts that specific fequency. Hope this helps clear up some confusion.

@DJOmega80
Yes i understood that, but i meant something like a third knob that would control how widely the chosen frequency will be cut.. hard to explain ;) But apparently not, it looks like someone was just talking bs, then. :)

@krybi I think I understand what you are asking about now. There is no control for the notch size of the frequency chosen by the outer ring knob. Hope this clears it up.

I bought an X9 a while ago, and LOVE IT. (sold my perfectly good DJM600 to get one). Does anyone know where a manual can be sourced from? i happily paid more than it worth as a used mixer but would do it again in a second... now i just want to make use of all it`s goodies

I tried searching online, but couldn't seem to locate an electronic copy. I have a hard copy, so if you have any questions, let me know.
