I'm seriously considering migrating from an 05 999 to one of these or even a Classic GT. Opinions?

999 is a beautiful bike. One I'd consider a keeper. If you're looking for comfort, then the GT is the way to go. Some that looks great and puts you in the right position for track/canyons, then the Sport 1000 or the 1000S is your bike.
