It wasn't george's fault really. It sounds like they bought machines that seemed good at the time and then became an issue because others came along that had faster speeds or better quality.

Think of the AMC gremlin. compared to other compacts of the day it was massively fast but then the company went belly up along with the parts. an owner would be left holding the bag so to speak. and having paerts custom manufactured is time consuming and costly. His dad worked his way up, george might not
