iPad 2 hands-on: jQuery gallery Javascript test

Testing Javascript on the iPad 2. This went pretty smoothly. I worked on a Javascript-intensive site for the original iPad, but when I tested it on the device it didn't work nearly at all. Animations were slow and jerky.

On the iPad 2, this issue seems to be resolved. The animations went pretty smoothly and it was pretty responsive. I couldn't think of something more complex to test at the time, but I think this shows improvement at least.

Well, it is a money making scheme, Apple just like any other company is out to make money, they release things (especially apple is guilty of this), that are purposefully crippled from existing technology then the next year they make it what it should have been from the beginning, people think they are getting a great product now even though the first one could have had the same features, also a new paint job doesn't count as a feature.

sure, except it is 1/3 thinner and much lighter, it has 2 cameras, face time, twice as fast because of the dual-core a5 chip, better graphics, and yes, the white color. So that's 6 new features (not counting the small ones), and the price didn't change. Bottom of line, if you thought that the old price was a fortune - and that's understandable - than ok, you will pay the same fortune, but for a much better product, not for a "making money scheme"

Weird. The Flash galleries on my android table runs much better with flawless fading. Wasn't HTML5 supposed to be better?
