A beautiful rendition of the Lygia love theme from the 1951 epic, which starred Robert Taylor and Deborah Kerr as the star crossed lovers ably supported by a manic performance from Peter Ustinov as emperor Nero.
The flawless vocal is by Mario Lanza, which sadly was never included in the finished movie. The score was composed by that master of epic music scoring Miklos Rozsa.

You are most welcome. I have seen this movie countless times and it never grows old. Robert Taylor was very underrated as an actor and Deborah was the quintessential English rose. There is a tenor better known this side of the pond that may be of interest to you, his name is David Whitfield and you should find him on various channels on YOU TUBE. Many Thanks for your kind comments. Take care.

Thank you so very much for this beautiful presentation showcasing Mario Lanza's voice with the film Quo Vadis. I have seen the film several times; what a shame that this fitting and superb song was not part of it. Miklos Rozsa and Mario Lanza, what a stellar combination!
Robert Taylor and Deborah Kerr have always been among my favorite actors.
Your artful choice of photographs and editing are excellent.
I am overwhelmed. Thank you again so much for uploading this.
