Kids by MGMT on violin/viola

A friend sent me Kids by MGMT and thought I should try playing violin on it, so I decided to try making a video! This is my first try, so may I ask for some advice from everyone who watched? Thanks!

Bleh, didn't turn out to be good though- I couldn't figure out how to capture the "bubblish" mood on the actual song, the playing is so dull, maybe it's because i was too focused on the intonation, and forgot about bow movement, but OH WELL, next time will be better XP

could you send me the viola sheet music? I could help out! Try using more off the string movements (bouncy), and try to play more legato and relaxed, the notes seemed sort of uptight. They need to be warm

ohh, thanks so much :) i agree, i am very inconsistent with my right hand. i have problem with bow changes >.<

do you want everything for the viola music? majority of it is pretty boring, i would say.

@idrinkink Yeah, I always have problems with the bowing as well, but my ensemble conductor is starting to clamp down big time! But yeah, you could send me both violin and viola, i could just transcribe the Treble to Alto, I learned how to do that recently. Ill try and send more feedback as well, and if you make a second video, be sure to tell me and we'll see! Practice makes perfect after all!
