  • Actually it's not normal, the stock shifter + link felt like it had less slop(more of a spongy feel) the uuc + dssr has a very loose sloppy feel. UUC said they would be coming out with a fix around a year ago and still nothing. Visit m3post.com and do a search on uuc ssk and you will see what I am talking about.

  • NORMAL.

    BMW Certified Technicians will all tell you it is 100% normal. The small amount of play is purposefully manufactured in to the design of the shifter to reduce vibrations from the transmission. You will not find a “solid” shifter from BMW ever, as it is quite uncomfortable, and provides arguably no advantages whatsoever.

  • i have the same problem , well my 3er is not a M nor a E9x , it's an E36.

    did you ever figure out the problem that causes the movement.

  • bmws do that. i have one myself

  • mine does the same thing, did you ever get this problem fixed?
