One of the greatest guitarists today.

On his latest album the Louisiana-based slide guitar wizard does something unprecedented in his body of work, as he collaborates with five of the greatest guitar players on the planet -- Eric Clapton, Mark Knopfler, Robben Ford, Eric Johnson and Vince Gill -- for some jaw-dropping performances. Also making a house call is legendary New Orleans pianist and singer Dr. John and iconic Gulf Coast troubadour Jimmy Buffett.

amazing.

  • Sonny is one of the best on the planet. He's got the gift, and has practiced his ASS off to perfect it.

Pretty nice to be around to hear Sonny. Wouldn't you say so folks? I just don't get 8 dislikes. What's that about? Oh thats right, this is life, and you can't please all the people all of the time, which is fine.

But I say to you dislikes, a 4x4 wacked up side your heads, would bring you around.

  • I was actually at this show and I've seen Sonny play 6 or 7 times. His playing is mesmerizing!!!

  • He's a great singer too.

I like "hell at home"+ "outward bound"

    they're awsome songs.

  • sounds like jeff beck

  • 1:47-1:57 my favorite part

  • Check out his famous behind the slide fingerings .

  • Great music! I also love his Uberesso. The video from Crossroads is impressive. Watching it kind of chokes me up. BTW,

what is the name of the album you mentioned in your comment ?

  • His right hand wizardry is pure grace to watch... I saw him live outdoors, right in front of the stage (and dancing!), three times, at the Montreal Jazz Fest - and all for free! LUCKY ME!!!

  • That is a perfect recording of the most talented performer alive. Thank you!
