Can't the owner of this strategically critical type of machine tool do something to put a protective cover over it and do the necessary preventive maintenance work and upgrading so that it can be used for the next generation who will be needing it to replace the U.S's massive infra-technostructure networked systems and also be used to duplicate it self for machine tools are the only machines that can reproduce themselves. Get it out from the open, put it indoors to protect it!

Wow thats a beautiful piece of machinery, I wish I could rebuild one that big, I can grind up to 32 feet over well over 20 feet in one stroke it's one of the biggest slydway grinders for rebuilding machinery in north america capible of grinding beds, cross slides, and tables.

yeah, loading/unloading parts for it probably make it easier. but, what about the elements?

At a guess outdoors might make it more practical to load and unload the work and to park trucks or trains next to it.
