In terms of playability and enjoyment, one of the best games on the Spectrum.
All in less than 48 kilobytes and on an audio cassette tape. Great times!

This video actually does the game very little justice - the hedgehogs were just the first of increasingly difficult enemies to face, and on more challenging levels...
In spite of the awful flicker (ha! how did we persevere?) this was actually an amazing game achievement on a 3.5MHz Z80-based machine, with no support hardware of any kind.
Loved it... and might even remake it! XD

Dead right. They had limited resources, yet created games with depth. In this instance there was a very definite, and realistic, feeling of weight, and inertia within this tiny little bike and 2-D scrolling scenery - superb!

The people creating these games were seriously underestimated, they should be so proud of producing such addictive games with the extremely limited processor power and memory of these machines !!

I stil have the original tape.. if I recall right I bought it in Woolies for £6 or something =/

This is one game I don't have. Used to have it on a pirate tape but never came across it again. It was £5.95, so pretty much spot on there.

I decided a few reviews myself.. errm everyone goes on about the well known things like elite and all the the US gold / ocean stuff.. there was a few choice things, and I'm suprised a few of them aren't listed in top 100's.. hhmm oh well I guess people missed a lot of the older things.

Never go by a top 100. It's all about the enjoyment you get out of a game that counts.
