This is the fourth video on the BSA's "Inspirational Shows" dvd. It feels like a Powerpoint presentation. It looks like a show made to possibly to be shown at roundtables and training sessions. http://melrosetroop68.org/videos.html
@ClassicCartoonsGuy. That is pretty far from the truth. Though somethings are revolved around god most of it is just trying to get you to be a better person and have respect for nature. And I know quite a bit of people who are Christian and Masonic in fact Brigham young has is Masonic robe here in Utah. And if you are atheist then you wouldn't be not allowed to join or kicked out but there probable be people who do judge you just like there are in everyday socity
@Gamer4864 They don't kick out anyone who admits to being an atheist, though since everything scouts do has something to do with God, I don't know why an atheist would want to be a part of it. Even the campouts revolve around God.
@ClassicCartoonsGuy 1. If I don't have anything nice to say, it's probably because the subject of the matter hasn't and isn't giving me anything nice TO say about it. Yeah. swearing was a little out of place on my part, and thus I apologize for that.
2. I never said they grill anyone. I said that if you admit to being an atheist, then you're out! Yeah, anyone can join, providing act in a "don't ask, don't tell" manor.
3. Why should a scout be a christian? What's so good about reverence?
@Gamer4864 First off, don't cuss. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. Secondly, a scout is, Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, and REVERENT.
A scout is not to lie and should be a Christian, but the scout program does NOT grill anyone on whether they are Christian or not, so they have no reason to lie, just not say anything about it. Atheist, homosexuals, etc., are NOT discriminated against and CAN join
@ClassicCartoonsGuy....The fuck are you talking about? The Illuminati? What? No, no, no, screw conspiracies, that is not a good argumental tool!
And it's not a matter of what an atheist would want to do, rather a kid! Make friends, do outdoor stuff, learn! By Jove! Lotta stuff! If that kid is an atheist, well, he can either lie and have no dignity, or be descriminated and not be able to join.
@Gamer4864 I don't know where you got that from...atheists are allowed, but scouting is grounded in Christianity so I don't know why one would "want" to be a part of it. The Scout Promise, "On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country...."
Besides, atheists have the Freemasons and Illuminati....which Yeshua HaMashiach will crush. Each Hebrew Letter in Yeshua has the combined meaning of, "The Hand that Destroys the Establishment of the Eye."
@billyboylb Shut up and don't say word. Boy Scouts aren't right or left wing, let alone propaganda. I'm an Eagle Scout and I had the best years of my life as a Boy Scout. I use things I learned in Scouting every day, from every day First Aid to knots and lashings. And being in college, in Geology class, the professor had us working with maps a lot and I knew everything he explained to the class already from my experience in scouting, so it was just basically a review for me.

@ClassicCartoonsGuy No, it's pretty right-wing. I mean, no atheists allowed? Not very pleasant if you ask me...

I hated the Scouts. Right-wing propaganda.
