Burning Man 2010 METROPOLIS: Home Sweet Playa (Breathing Light)

After my virgin trip in 2009, I knew I had to go back Home. The signs that always touch me as you drive slowly into Black Rock city were wonderful this year, and I interwove them into this video to give you a sense for not just the sights and sounds, but the philosophy and meaning behind Burning Man and all that the dusty playa can be.

The song is Breathing Light by Nitin Sawhney, which I first heard at the Hookahdome in 2009. HOOKAHDOME LOVE!

Reading those signs as I entered my virgin burn last year touched my soul.

Funny, I had no idea of what Burning Man was about to become for me..

Now as I watch your video, it transports me back to the way Home makes me feel.

This was my first burn and I'm so glad I watched this video. It's put together so well, bringing back all the memories from this life changing experience. Ringing that bell, being welcomed onto the playa by that double rainbow...seeing that all again made me smile (and homesick!)
