  • I really enjoyed watching this and your other videos too. I just got an rc sail boat that i have had much fun with this summer. Maybe ill add a sun driven sterling engine to it during the winter ;)

  • @friendofyou

Let me know if you ever manage to do that. Solar / electric could be an option too.

    John

  • @DadHav I will :) maybe electric would be the easiest to start with... Solar sails... hmmm :)

  • @friendofyou

There's a lot of possibility with electric. Since it might only be used for assist, the solar cells could charge a small battery or capacitor so you're building up reserve power even if you're using the sails. Sound like enough fun to try myself. I always wanted to make a big flat solar powered catamaran to use for fishing. It could troll a lure with a release clip or drop off a bobber.

    Take care.

  • I fear I haven't been keeping current on your films this one is great I love all the different kinds of float planes.

  • @rickc1945

Thanks Rick. If everyone here knew you and your work, they would realize what an honer it is to have you comment favorably on the video. This was taken, as you probably know, with the TM700, but only post processed to a 720 P resolution. I may try going up to 1080 but I'm not sure how many people are actually viewing YouTube at HD. I think many don't realize there is an option on the screen to do so.

PS. You really have a talent for making a slide show come to life.

  • what's really cool about flying model airplanes is that sometimes you can't tell if it's a real one far away or a small one close up.

  • Nice.

Just bought the TM700 and am learning new resources for editing....have you discovered any more secrets? best software?

    Awesome planes too!!

    Dan

  • @llewgnal

Indeed! They are the best. We have flayers from 10 years old to people in their 80's. We always have a great time at our flying field and events like this.

    Thanks

    John
