In mid-September 2010, 29 young, aspiring athletes, including Satnam Singh Bhamara, from India arrived on the grounds of IMG Academies to begin a year of growth and training among world class coaches, facilities, programs and sports camps. They are the first group of students to benefit from the IMG Reliance Scholarship Program. The program is part of a greater initiative of IMG Reliance Pvt. Ltd., a joint venture between IMG Worldwide and the India-based Reliance Industries.

IMG Basketball Academy Director Andy Borman and his coaches travelled to India to evaluate youth basketball talent. Eight children (four boys and four girls) were chosen during the trials. The boys have joined the IMG Academy developmental team and are coached by Nate Vander Sluis, former Division I four-year letterman for Miami of Ohio University. The girls are coached by Shell Dailey, former University of Texas player and WNBA coach.

  • Singh is King!!!

  • With Satnam Singh and the 7+ foot Bhullar brothers in Pennsylvania, it looks like their might be a chance that an Indian will be in the NBA in the next 5 years. Satnam looks like he is more athletic and might have the best chance of being in the NBA.

  • @grayshorts whoa dont forget Manny Sahota, a 6'6 punjabi dude from calfornia, His stamina and speed is amazing, higher than most NBA players, not to mention his 3pointers are always on point, also what about those small time Indian basketball players you dont hear about, My cousin Gurminder is a monster at basketball, hes 6'4 and fast as hell, I honestly think hes gonna make it to the NBA, also hes ranked #1 in his district, I say 3 more years until we start havin indians in the NBA

  • @radlerxo ppl wid tat kinda growth so young tend to get distorted!!

  • 14 going on 45

  • That kid doenst look like 14... I'm not talking about his height, but look at the face

  • It's amazing that kid is 14 years old.

  • I'm all for providing opportunities for kids to meet their potential but it sounds like there is way too much pressure placed upon Singh at such a young age to become a superstar in a sport which until somewhat recently, he had never even played before. I hope he doesn't end up just being exploited and is doing this because it is HIS dream, not just his father's.
