The only Christmas song that actually means something real. I listen to this every Christmas. 7 years and I still particularly feel the gaping hole that my dad's loss leaves. He was so warm and full of character and fun that his absence makes every Christmas feel like this song. People ask me "why don't you like Xmas??" when I lost so many people. It seems like after "The First Year" everybody thinks you're ok & want to "raise a glass to them" and smile away. Hugs to everybody who lost someone.

"I'm drinking old" - That's how I'll spend my last years. This song will likely reflect my life in my elderly years. My husband, my parents, siblings, aunts and uncles. All those in my life I've ever come to admire, look up to, and cherish - including Peter - will have been long gone. . .I'll be in a nursing home, listening to my old CD's on an archaic player of some futuristic nature, Type O and such music - having never let go of my past. . . and youtube would have long since be gone, too.
