Whoever says A&M is racist has no clue what they're talking about. I'm Indian and I'm in the Corps. My buddies and I get along fine, and nobody gets mistreated because of race that I can tell. Proud to be an Aggie, proud to be in the Corps.

I recently got accepted to A&M and from out of state. I am a black male and I know the university is known for being conservative. I want to be an Aggie bad but I'm not sure if I'll enjoy my time. Any advice..?

@Kamikuru77 1st off, I will not lie, A&M used to be an all male military school, since allowing women into the university, the school has slowly changed from being a close minded southern school.
Today, A&M may still seem to be a very conservative school, at least politically, but views are very open, and no one cares if your Gay, lesbian, bi, transgender. You are an Aggie, it doesn't matter about anything else.

@peadsf I love the aggie motto and a&m in general, however how do the aggies treat gays there? "openly gay engineering student here'" thinking about transferring next year.

thats ok jay, if thats the kind of person you are then your not the type of person who should be in aggieland. You see jay the people in aggieland are the best people in the world and helping someone out is not thought of as going above and beyond, its just the right thing to do, and thats how aggies are.
