Eternal Paradise Rewrite/Fixup (Video 1)

Eternal Paradise was a game I made using RPG Maker 2003 a few Months ago. When I released it, the game got a bit of attention, and the comments I received were fairly mixed. However in the long run, it was pointed out to me that I made quite a large number of errors with my design choices, and that my writing wasn't quite up-to-par. I'd dragged scenes on for far too long, and constantly repeated the same things over-and-over ad nauseam.

With the information I've received regarding E.P within the last few Months, I've decided to rework the game and rewrite the script, and hope to make it a much more enjoyable experience than it previously was. The majority of the changes will involve the script and dialogue, which will be completely re-done from scratch to form a more concise and engaging experience.

Here's the first 15~ minutes of the new-and-improved Eternal Paradise. Enjoy.

IMPORTANT:
During the 28-30+ second range in the video, you'll notice the screen fades out, but fades back in immediately after. This is because there was supposed to be a video in there that I just could not include for some reason. It's viewable in-game, but I couldn't record it.

Hmm....not bad I have to say. How long have you been working on this game (or 2k3 for that matter)? Script so far seems pretty nice, and I'm loving the map layouts (much better than I can ever hope to do since I'm horrible at mapping ^^;;). Other than that, not much I can say. Keep up the good work~

@Xenomic The first time around, I'd been working on E.P roughly 7~ Months before releasing it. Specifically with 2K3 however? A long time! 4+ years, I think? I'm not too sure any more. Ha ha. But that you for the comment and view! It's appreciated.

@LeoHightower It's not out yet, and probably won't be for some time. I'm in the process of rewriting the script, and that could possibly take me in to the summer to do. But it'll be done some day, I hope. =P

Nice video. This game looks good dude. The characters look like Seiken Densetsu sprites. Cool. Very nice battle system too. Do you use the Enu Tankentai SBS ? Keep up the good work ^__^

P.S. Not to sound critical, but you do have a lot of story. I know that story is a key element in any good Rpg. Personally I would shorten it down a bit. But that's just my opinion. Anyways good luck to you. Later. =]
