It had been a long time since i'd been out to see a movie-

I like Wes Anderson films & not a big hollywood buff-but i can be a cinephile- & his previous films were quite good-

Darjeeling- was good but sad to say not up to par, With the others- Royal was great-but Darjeeling is- a worthwhile watch. Makes some note worthy psychological points.

A Scene, in theatre. They are 3 brothers in
india and very western about it.

  • ???? First of all, Wes Anderson is the last person in the world to project self-pity onto the big screen. He is the most beautifully self-aware director out there which accounts for the rich hummor and empathy clearly evident in his stories.

As for the characters being rich, so what? It is a film about three brothers. Sounds like you have an issue with "rich people" my friend, which is just another false stereo type giving you an excuse to hate and feel sorry for your self.

  • I liked it alot.

  • Well i'm gonna defend Wes here. This is an amazing movie, together with all of his works. The plot is somewhat linear and undefying but it is still a work of genius. And it is in fact, a great filming of India. Badleladki: the whole film was set and filmed IN india, no sets at all. They actually rented an old train which went all around the country and Jason Schwartzam says: "It was the only set you really couldn't be late for because it could have left already." So the filming is pretty real.

  • I agree with Popozudo - a weak movie with self pitying rich characters and the worst filming of 'India' ever! Who painted the sets?

  • YOU SHOULDN'T DO THAT !

  • movie piracy!!!

  • what a weak movie. i left after an hour. what´s so funny about rich people acting like neocolonial drunks?

  • I wasn't such a fan of Darjeeling Express but still a decent move - i pretty much agree with what you wrote. My love for Wes Anderson's film hasn't changed though.

  • So you're a pirate AND a gangsta?
