Here's an interesting bit of World War 2 propaganda from a branch of the American Treasury. It purports to be an example of Japanese propaganda from captured footage. But most of it seems to made up of American footage and the main point of the film seems to be that a land invasion of Japan would be very costly for the US. All that said it does have some good footage of Marines in action in the Pacific and Japanese civilian life during the war.
War Bonds would be an interesting prospect today. As long as we are privatizing much of our military effort abroad, why shouldn't handy investment bonds (drawn on the immense capital development of War Profiteers like Haliburton, KBR, Xi, et al) be made available to the American public? It OUR bloody war, too!

In propaganda is aim is usually toward dehumanizing and diminishing the enemy. This piece goes the other way and shows a frighteningly capable Japan, even after the defeats at Tarawa and Guadacanal. This clearly looks to be designed to shake the home bodies loose of their complacency in an effort to shame them into buying more War Bonds.
