my favourite setup is either a fisher black matte bullet with fisher fine point blue or parker jotter with fisher fine point blue insert

love the pen as far as the writing goes, but yea the anodizing wears off, the cap becomes loose, it loses that nice tight snap after a while. you can shake the pen and hear the cap rattling even while its clicked down. not quite worth the money but still writes nice.

good review. excellent job.
as far as the pen goes... I think the old saying applies here: "a fool and his money are soon parted"

lol... this shit cracks me up... "tactical" pen... JFC.
Here's the truth and what the truth is about...
Its about who can prove who's the dumbest douchebag by wasting the largest amount of money on something that will never be used for anything more than what you'd use a standard ten cent Bic...
And they say we're in a recession... Yet the world convinces people they need $100 ink pens. American society is really hurting. 10 minute detailed review on total worthlessness...

Interesting review. I would love a good tactical pen. However, I can't justify paying that price when kubotans are so much cheaper.

how would you compare this pen to the smith&wesson pens?
-
Thanks for the video, I found a discounted one on Amazon and should have it in a few days.
-
the cap tears off your pocket very soon, and the refill might be a problem. with the retail price, i won't go for this one. but found a nice shcrade tactical pen to be more practical and useful, and for only $23 shipped. good straight vid. tks.
Liked your review i have one of these pens and the anodizing has started to were of in places, over time the nice snap as it closes has dissapered and it has gotten harder to close properly. It will accept a standered Fisher refil you just need to take the white extention piece of the original refill and put it on the new refill. You really need to keep an eye on the screws holding the clip on as they come loose and are lost very easely. Must say its not worth the money.

I agree, not at all. I need to make an update to this video. My anodizing has turned purple and I've called benchmade no less than three times to get support to comment on it. Update video coming soon.

how do you compare the benchmade pen,and the surefire pen
reneir0492 2 years ago
I would say I definitely like the surefire more. If I can get a hold of one for review I'll add that to the mix. I like that the surefire is a twist pen. I can't stand the cap pens, personal preference. Recently my benchmade started turning purpose and the finish is blotchy in areas. I've seen it happen to low quality anodizing before. I sent them a message about it but haven't heard back. I don't recommend the benchmade at all at this point.

Form should follow function. None of these are cap less. I would never buy any pen that I would have to remove a cap everytime I wanted to use it. And you can bet everyone will write with it more than fight with it. Wake up tactical pen makers and quit making junk. My kids could do a better job!

I couldn't agree more! Check out the new surefire pen, you might like it! It's actually a good pen, crazy concept I know.
